Christopher G. Hill, a 48-year-old Troy resident, was recently charged with nine counts after Troy police found that he had sex with a 17-year-old runaway girl and made pornographic videos of the encounters, according to MLive.com. The girl was reportedly a runaway who needed a place to stay.
The girl had moved into Hill’s home in November; Hill also admitted that he had engaged in sexual activity with the teen, and taken nude photos of her. Police learned of the activities after responding to a domestic dispute at Hill’s home, where they found the girl hiding in the basement. She allegedly had injuries to her arms and neck which police believe indicated a struggle, as well as bruises on her head. At this time police noticed that a camera/tripod was set up, and that there were numerous materials in the home they called “sexually provocative.” After refusing to have sex with Hill on February 4, he beat her according to the victim.
Troy police investigators reportedly found numerous images pertaining to Hill and the victim engaging in improper sexual conduct while conducting forensic testing on computer equipment confiscated from Hill’s home. In all, Hill was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, three counts of using a computer to commit a crime, three counts of child sexually abusive activity, and misdemeanor count of domestic violence.
In Michigan the age of consent is 16; in order to violate state law, Hill would had to have used coercion or force to accomplish sexual penetration.
Child sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a crime are both 20 year felonies; third-degree criminal sexual conduct is a 15 year felony. Michigan sex crime attorneys know that if convicted, Hill will likely face many years behind bars.
